Rules for AIFFL Power Point Presentations

 

  • Slides submitted after the presentation fee is paid and no later than 7 days before the meeting. Comments will be provided back to you within 3 days.
  • Final slides submitted no later than two days before the meeting.
  • At most 16 slides. This allows a title slide and one minute per slide. Note that standard presentation guidelines suggest allowing two minutes per slide. This rule assumes that several of your slides will be product photos or other illustrations that will be gone over very quickly.
  • Slide title text at least 40 font.
  • Main bullet text at least 32 font. No more than 6 main bullets.
  • Sub-bullet text at least 26 font.
  • Text in graphics at least 16 font.
  • If necessary, eliminate text to fit the slide. Use phrases, not sentences.
  • Only present information you consider to be “public.”  No statement of confidentiality. No one has signed a Non-disclosure Agreement, and the presentation is inherently “public”.

Guidelines for AIFFL Presentation Content

 

  • What the Company Does – succinctly!!  Describe in 25 words or less on one slide.
  • Market – who the customers are, what creates demand, size of market addressed
  • Solution – how your product or service fits the market need & into a total solution
  • Business Model – how you will make money, gross margins
  • Uniqueness / Competitive Differentiation / Proprietary Advantage
  • Marketing, Sales, Support – how you will reach customers, sales cycle, how support will be delivered
  • Competitive Position – who the competitors are, how you will gain position
  • Management Team – company leaders, advisory board, board of directors
  • Financial Projections / Amount Sought / Use of Funds
  • Accomplishments / Key Milestones – product/service availability, sales & customer growth, time to profitability, how investors will cash out.
  • Conclude with a summary slide.
